This is the first post on here by DB...late of the DPW and the Most and currently of Mummra...if you happen to be in the Richmond, VA area check out Mummra with Brand New Disaster and another swell band at the Nanci Raygun, W. Grace St, on Monday Sept 29...also for anyone who cares Mummra needs a place to practice!!!
SO a while back there was this house you could go to and get wasted or record an album or both....rock, metal, crazy hip-hop, comedy rock, soul, blues, and swamp music were the noises of the day...
Through bleary red eyes one could witness the assembly of musicians and otherwise or relax and enjoy Dawn of the Dead or play with the dogs...gone are those young and innocent days...

Welcome to the official site for The West End Gentlemens Club. Rock Music. Film. Everything your little heart desires (also, if you actually have a smaller heart because of a defect of sorts...well, we don't mean to offend... apology accepted).
"Here's The Gist" History (A Gistory if you will)

4 guys (+ two, sometimes three or four girlfriends) lived in a house at 1228
West Main Street in historic (historic because a couple of bridges were blown up by the CSA and we were the home of Porno Star SEKA) Radford, VA.
Former members of such legendary New River Valley bands such as DPW, Yak!, The Most, Sherlock, etc... would frequent this house and drink quite a bit. The drinking (among other things) would always lead to either horror movies or RAWK! Two new legit bands formed out of the WEGC: The Brothers Gore and Mummra.
Shiteloads of rock was recorded at the house (usually by the same revolving cast of musicians...Jason Snider, Dan Beasley, Jason Gore, Walter Simpkins, Jake Snider, Steve Gore, Sterling Boyd, Danny Phillips, E. Scott Lawson...list goes on and on) and a first collection of all of that rock has been made into a glorious CD entitled: West End Gentlemens Club Volume One. Of course there will be more volumes throughout the years, but you need this one right now! E-mail westendgentlemensclub@yahoo.com for info.
